WhatsApp number quality
Understand your WhatsApp number's quality rating, Meta's messaging limit and the Deliverability screen, and how to keep your business number healthy.
On this page
Meta gives every WhatsApp Business number a quality rating. Meta bases the rating on how customers have received your messages recently, for example how often they block or report your number. DinamisAI checks that rating regularly and shows it in several places in the console, so you can spot a drop in quality early.
Rating and messaging limit
The rating comes from Meta and is normally one of three colours:
| Rating | What it means |
|---|---|
| GREEN | The number's quality is good. |
| YELLOW | Quality is dropping. Time to look at what was sent recently. |
| RED | Quality is low. Find out which messages are causing it, soon. |
Next to the rating, the console shows the messaging limit Meta has set for the number, written as Meta's tier, for example 1K, 10K or UNLIMITED. It is roughly how many different customers the number can start conversations with in 24 hours.
If a number has never been checked, no colour is shown. Treat that number as not yet rated, not as healthy.
Where to find it
- The Channels list. Each WhatsApp number shows its rating, its messaging limit and when it was last checked. The Account-level limit badge appears when Meta is limiting your WhatsApp Business Account or business portfolio, not only the number.
- The Deliverability tab on a channel's page. It shows the current rating, a Check now button to ask Meta for a fresh reading, and a Sends and rating chart that lines up outbound messages per day with the rating on the same days. It answers the question: did a spike in sending come before the rating dropped?
- The Deliverability menu. This screen shows whether a pipeline's contacts are being reached. On the Overview tab, the Channel health & distribution table gives each number a Health colour (Green, Yellow or Red) with a short reason, such as quality yellow or rating not refreshed. This colour is DinamisAI's own assessment and also weighs other delivery signals, so it can differ from Meta's rating.

When a warning names a limit on the account or the business portfolio, fixing one number alone will not clear it. Check every number on the same account.
When marketing is held
When a number's quality drops, you may see one of these next to the rating:
- Marketing paused: automated marketing templates are held on this number until it returns to GREEN. A team member can still send the template by hand.
- Marketing at risk: automated sends still go out, but failed marketing messages are no longer retried.
Keeping your number healthy
- Message customers who expect to hear from you. Customers who didn't expect your message are more likely to block or report your number, which can lower its rating.
- Use an honest category. Use Utility for transactional messages and Marketing for promotions. The template editor warns you when a Utility message reads like a promotion.
- Offer a way out. Marketing templates should tell customers how to opt out, for example "Reply STOP to unsubscribe".
- Avoid patterns that often get rejected, such as text in all capitals or a raw link in the body. See Manage WhatsApp templates.
- Watch after a large send. After messaging many contacts, open the Deliverability tab and keep an eye on the rating. If the rating drops, you can pause the template causing it from the WhatsApp templates screen; pausing also stops the AI agent from sending it.
