Roles and access
Understand roles and teams in DinamisAI, how to set what each role may do, and how to check who changed what in the audit log.
On this page
What someone can see and do in DinamisAI depends on their role. Menu items your role doesn't allow don't appear in the sidebar, so two people in the same workspace can see a different console.
Roles, teams and the audit log all live under Team, each on its own tab. The tabs you see depend on your access.
One role per member
Every member has exactly one role, and the role decides what they may do. A new workspace comes with built-in roles, such as Owner, Admin, Supervisor, Agent, Billing Admin and Member. Each built-in role shows a short description on the Roles tab. You can also create your own roles.
The Owner role always holds every permission and can't be edited.
Teams
A team groups members and is given certain pipelines. Teams don't give anyone extra permissions. They decide which pipelines a member's My teams access covers, and the channels connected to those pipelines open up to the team automatically.
A member whose role works through teams but who isn't in any team sees none of those conversations or deals.
Teams are set up on the Teams tab: create one with New team, add its members and choose its Pipelines. A team without a pipeline gives its members nothing to work on.
What a role allows
Permissions are grouped into areas, such as conversations, contacts or settings. For each area a role has a level: No access, View, Edit or Manage. Many areas also have a reach, which is how much data the role touches:
- Own — only their own data, such as conversations assigned to them.
- My teams — the pipelines of the teams they belong to.
- Everyone — the whole workspace.
You can open an area and change single permissions too. A few permissions are simply on or off.
Changing roles
To change someone's role, open the Members tab, click Edit access on their row, choose the role, then click Save. You can't change your own role.
To change what a role allows, open the Roles tab, choose the role, change its levels and reach, then click Save. The change applies to every member who holds that role.
- A Built-in role can be changed but not deleted. Click Reset to defaults to return it to its original settings.
- Create your own role with New role, or start from an existing one with Duplicate. A role you created can be deleted with Delete role once nobody holds it.
- You can't give permissions beyond your own. A few permissions can be given only by a workspace owner, and some are not part of your plan.
Want to know what you're allowed to do? Open Account settings, then the My access tab. The list is read-only. Contact a workspace admin or owner if you need access you don't have.
Audit log
The Audit log tab records security-related events in your workspace, such as failed sign-ins, denied access, and changes to members or roles. Each row shows the
Time, Event, Actor, and IP address. Filter by event, by person or by date to narrow the list.
This tab appears only for roles that are allowed to read the audit log.
